MaĆgorzata Turczynska is a Polish photographer and visual artist based in Warsaw. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 2006, and has since been working as a freelance photographer.
Turczynska's work focuses on the human condition, exploring themes of identity, memory, and belonging. Her photographs often feature people in their everyday lives, capturing moments of intimacy and vulnerability. She has exhibited her work internationally, including at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and the National Museum of Photography in Poznan.
In addition to her photography practice, Turczynska is also an educator. She has taught workshops at universities across Poland, as well as at international festivals such as Photoville in New York City and Les Rencontres d'Arles in France.
Turczynska's work has been featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian, Vogue Italia, and National Geographic. In 2018 she was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Photography Awards for her series "The Other Side".
