Lukasz Bartyzel is a Polish photographer and visual artist based in Warsaw. He is best known for his unique style of photography, which combines elements of documentary, fashion, and fine art.
Bartyzel began his career as a photographer in the early 2000s, working with various magazines and newspapers in Poland. His work has since been featured in publications such as Vogue, GQ, Elle, and Harper's Bazaar. He has also collaborated with numerous fashion brands including Gucci, Prada, and Louis Vuitton.
In addition to his commercial work, Bartyzel has also created several personal projects that explore themes of identity and belonging. His series “The Other Side” was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw in 2018. The project focused on the lives of immigrants living in Poland and their struggles to find acceptance within their new home.
Bartyzel’s work has been recognized by numerous awards including the International Photography Awards (IPA) and the Sony World Photography Awards (SWPA). In 2020 he was named one of PDN’s 30 Emerging Photographers to Watch.
Bartyzel continues to push boundaries with his photography by exploring new techniques and ideas. He is currently working on a new project that focuses on the relationship between humans and nature.
