Ludwig Ciupka (1925-2015) was a German photographer and photojournalist who is best known for his work in the 1950s and 1960s. Born in Berlin, Ciupka studied photography at the Berlin Academy of Arts and Crafts before beginning his career as a freelance photographer.

Ciupka's work was featured in numerous publications, including Stern, Quick, and Twen. He also worked as a photojournalist for the German news agency Ullstein Bilderdienst. His photographs captured everyday life in Germany during the post-war period, including images of people rebuilding their lives after the war.

In addition to his work as a photojournalist, Ciupka also worked as an advertising photographer for companies such as Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz. He also created several books of his photographs, including "Berlin: A City Reborn" (1956) and "Berlin: The City of Change" (1960).

Throughout his career, Ciupka received numerous awards for his photography, including the German Photographers Association Award (1958), the Kodak Prize (1959), and the Leica Medal of Excellence (1960). In 2015, he was posthumously inducted into the German Photographers Hall of Fame.
