Luba Kozorezova is a Russian-born photographer who has been capturing stunning images of the world around her since she was a young girl. Born in Moscow in 1985, Luba developed an early passion for photography and began taking pictures of her family and friends. She soon realized that she had a talent for capturing the beauty of everyday life, and decided to pursue photography as a career.
After graduating from high school, Luba attended the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts, where she studied photography and film. During her studies, she developed an interest in documentary photography and began to focus on capturing the stories of people living in Russia’s rural areas. Her work has been featured in numerous publications, including National Geographic, The New York Times Magazine, and The Guardian.
In addition to her documentary work, Luba also creates stunning fine art photographs that explore themes such as nature, identity, and memory. Her work has been exhibited in galleries around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. In 2020, she was awarded the prestigious Prix Pictet award for her series “The Unseen” which explored the lives of people living with disabilities in Russia.
Luba currently lives and works in Moscow where she continues to capture powerful images that tell stories about our world today.
