Lu Changhai is a Chinese photographer and artist who has been capturing the beauty of his homeland for over four decades. Born in Shanghai in 1952, Lu was exposed to photography from an early age, as his father was a professional photographer. After graduating from high school, Lu attended the Shanghai Institute of Photography and Cinematography, where he studied under renowned photographers such as Li Zhensheng and Li Zhenhua.
Lu's work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the National Art Museum of China in Beijing. He has also published several books on photography, including "The Beauty of China" and "The Soul of China". His photographs have been widely praised for their vivid colors and unique perspectives on everyday life in China.
In addition to his photographic work, Lu is also an accomplished painter and sculptor. He has created several large-scale sculptures that are displayed throughout Shanghai, including a bronze statue of Confucius at Fudan University. He is also an active member of the Chinese Photographers Association and serves as a mentor to aspiring photographers.
Lu's work continues to be highly sought after by collectors around the world. His photographs have been featured in numerous publications, including National Geographic Magazine and Time Magazine. He currently lives in Shanghai with his wife and two children.
