After studying at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, he went on to work as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers.

His work has been featured in numerous publications including Vogue, The New York Times Magazine, and The Guardian. He has also exhibited his photographs in galleries around the world, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

In addition to his photographic work, Louis is also an accomplished filmmaker. He has directed several short films that have been screened at film festivals around the world. His most recent project is a feature-length documentary about the life of French artist Jean Dubuffet.
