Liselotte Schuppers is a Dutch photographer and visual artist based in Amsterdam. She is known for her unique and captivating photographs that explore the relationship between people and their environment.
Born in the Netherlands in 1965, Liselotte developed an interest in photography at an early age. She studied photography at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, where she graduated with honors in 1989. After graduating, she began working as a freelance photographer, shooting for magazines and newspapers such as Vrij Nederland, De Volkskrant, and NRC Handelsblad.
In the early 2000s, Liselotte began to focus more on her personal work. She traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia to capture images of people living in different cultures and environments. Her work has been exhibited internationally at galleries such as Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam, Huis Marseille Museum for Photography, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.
In addition to her photographic work, Liselotte has also published several books including “The World Through My Eyes” (2005) and “The Human Condition” (2008). Her photographs have been featured in numerous publications including The New York Times Magazine, National Geographic Magazine, Time Magazine, and The Guardian.
Liselotte continues to explore the world through her lens today. Her work is a testament to her passion for capturing moments that tell stories about our lives and our environment.
