Leon Dash is an award-winning photographer and visual artist based in New York City. He has been capturing stunning images of the world around him for over two decades.
Dash was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in a creative family. His father was a jazz musician and his mother was an artist. From a young age, Dash was exposed to the arts and developed a passion for photography. He attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, where he studied photography and film.
After graduating from college, Dash began working as a freelance photographer for various publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and National Geographic Magazine. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C.
Dash's work focuses on capturing moments of beauty and emotion that often go unnoticed by most people. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad to capture unique images that tell stories about people, places, and cultures from around the world. His photographs have been published in books such as "The World Through My Eyes" (2008) and "A Moment In Time" (2012).
