Kuo Huan Kao is a Taiwanese photographer and visual artist. He was born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1975 and has been living and working in the city ever since.

Kao began his career as a photographer in the late 1990s, when he started to explore the medium of photography as an art form. His early works focused on capturing everyday life in Taiwan, often featuring street scenes and portraits of people from all walks of life. His work has since evolved to include more abstract images that explore themes such as identity, memory, and nostalgia.

Kao has exhibited his work extensively throughout Taiwan and internationally, including at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, the National Museum of History in Taipei, and the International Center for Photography in New York City. He has also been featured in numerous publications such as The New York Times Magazine, Time Magazine Asia, and The Wall Street Journal Asia.

Kao is currently a professor at National Taiwan University of Arts where he teaches courses on photography and visual arts. He continues to pursue his passion for photography through his ongoing projects which explore themes such as identity, memory, and nostalgia.
