Koray Birand is a Turkish fashion photographer who has been working in the industry for over 20 years. He is known for his unique and creative style, which often combines elements of fashion, art, and photography.
Koray was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1975. He studied photography at the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts in Istanbul and graduated with a degree in photography in 1998. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers.
In 2002, Koray opened his own studio in Istanbul and began to focus on fashion photography. His work has been featured in numerous international publications such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Marie Claire, GQ, and many more. He has also worked with some of the world's top fashion designers including Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Gucci, Prada, Dior and many more.
Koray's work has been exhibited around the world including at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City and the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) in London. He has also won numerous awards for his work including the International Photography Award (IPA) for Best Fashion Photographer of the Year (2009).
Koray continues to push boundaries with his creative vision and is considered one of the most influential photographers working today.
