Kenichi Nekao is a Japanese photographer who has been capturing stunning images of nature and wildlife for over two decades. Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1971, Kenichi developed an early interest in photography and began taking pictures of his surroundings at a young age.
He studied photography at the Tokyo College of Photography and graduated with honors in 1994. After graduation, he worked as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers, specializing in nature and wildlife photography. His work has been featured in publications such as National Geographic, Outdoor Photographer, and Nature Photographer Magazine.
In 2000, Kenichi opened his own studio in Tokyo where he continues to capture stunning images of nature and wildlife from around the world. He has traveled extensively throughout Japan, Europe, Africa, South America, and North America to capture unique images of animals in their natural habitats. His work has been exhibited at galleries around the world including the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C., the Natural History Museum of London, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography.
