Keith Major is an award-winning photographer and director who has worked with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. He has photographed celebrities such as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Justin Timberlake.
Major was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in a family of photographers. His father was a professional photographer and his mother was an amateur photographer. Major began taking pictures at a young age and developed a passion for photography.
He attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California where he earned his Bachelor's degree in photography. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer for magazines such as Vibe, GQ, and Rolling Stone. He also worked as a fashion photographer for brands such as Nike and Adidas.
In 2004, Major made his directorial debut with the music video "Crazy In Love" by Beyoncé featuring Jay-Z. The video won several awards including MTV Video Music Awards for Best R&B Video and Best Choreography. Since then he has directed music videos for artists such as Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey, and John Legend.
Major has also directed commercials for brands such as Pepsi, McDonald's, Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect, and Samsung Galaxy S4. In addition to his work in music videos and commercials he has also directed short films including "The Last Day" which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012.
Major continues to work on projects that combine his love of photography with directing to create unique visuals that capture the essence of each project he works on.
