Katinka Bester is an award-winning South African photographer and visual artist. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, she has been taking photographs since she was a child. She studied photography at the University of Cape Town and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photography in 2006.

Katinka's work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Her work has also been featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian, and Vogue Italia.

Katinka's photography focuses on capturing moments of everyday life that often go unnoticed. She is particularly interested in exploring themes of identity and belonging through her work. Her photographs often feature people from marginalized communities or those living on the fringes of society.
