Julia Morozova is a Russian photographer and visual artist based in Moscow. She is best known for her unique and captivating photographs of everyday life in Russia.
Morozova was born in Moscow in 1985 and grew up surrounded by the city’s vibrant culture. She developed an early interest in photography, which she pursued throughout her teenage years. After graduating from high school, she enrolled at the Rodchenko School of Photography and Multimedia, where she studied under renowned Russian photographers such as Alexander Gronsky and Oleg Klimov.
Morozova’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow. Her photographs have also been published in magazines such as Vogue Russia, GQ Russia, and Harper’s Bazaar Russia.
In addition to her photography work, Morozova has also directed several short films that have been screened at film festivals around the world. She is currently working on a feature-length documentary about contemporary Russian culture.
