Jesse Allen is an American photographer and geographer who has been capturing stunning images of Earth from space since 2003. He is best known for his work with NASA, where he has served as a project scientist and lead image processor for the Earth Observing System (EOS) program.
Born in San Francisco, California, Allen grew up with a passion for science and photography. He attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned a degree in geography and environmental studies. After graduating, he worked as a research assistant at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado.
In 2003, Allen joined NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) as a project scientist and lead image processor for the EOS program. During his time at JPL, he was responsible for processing data from various Earth-observing satellites to create stunning images of our planet from space.
