Jaume De Laiguana is a Spanish photographer and filmmaker based in Barcelona. He has been working in the field of photography for over 20 years, specializing in fashion, advertising, and documentary photography.
Born in Barcelona in 1975, Jaume developed an early interest in photography and filmmaking. He studied at the Escola Superior de Disseny i Art Llotja in Barcelona, where he graduated with a degree in Photography and Audiovisuals. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and advertising agencies.
In 2003, Jaume founded his own production company called Laiguana Films. Through this company he has produced several short films and documentaries that have been screened at festivals around the world. His work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Elle, GQ, Marie Claire, and Harper’s Bazaar.
In addition to his commercial work, Jaume is also an avid traveler who has documented his journeys through photography. His photographs have been exhibited at galleries around Europe and the United States. He is also a member of the prestigious Magnum Photos agency since 2018.
Throughout his career Jaume has won numerous awards for his work including the International Photography Award (IPA) for Best Documentary Series (2015), the Sony World Photography Award (2016), and the Hasselblad Masters Award (2017). He continues to be an influential figure in the world of photography today.
