Jason Bell is a British photographer who has been capturing the world’s most iconic figures for over two decades. He has photographed some of the most famous faces in the world, including members of the British Royal Family, Hollywood stars, and leading politicians.
Bell was born in London in 1971 and grew up in a creative family. His father was an artist and his mother was a fashion designer. From an early age, Bell was exposed to art and photography, which inspired him to pursue a career as a photographer.
In 1994, Bell graduated from the London College of Printing with a degree in photography. After graduation, he began working as an assistant to renowned photographer David Bailey. During this time, he developed his own style of portraiture that focused on capturing the essence of his subjects through natural light and composition.
In 2000, Bell established himself as one of Britain’s leading portrait photographers when he photographed Queen Elizabeth II for her Golden Jubilee celebrations. Since then, he has gone on to photograph some of the world’s most famous people including Barack Obama, Angelina Jolie, Kate Moss and David Beckham. His work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Vanity Fair and The New York Times Magazine.
In addition to his commercial work, Bell is also passionate about documentary photography and has traveled around the world capturing stories from remote communities in Africa and Asia. He is also an advocate for social change through his work with charities such as Save The Children and Amnesty International.
Bell currently lives in London with his wife and two children where he continues to create stunning portraits that capture the beauty of humanity.
