Jang Dukhwa is a South Korean photographer who has been capturing the beauty of his homeland for over two decades. Born in Seoul in 1971, Jang developed an early interest in photography and began taking pictures of his family and friends at a young age.
Jang's passion for photography led him to pursue a degree in the field from Seoul National University. After graduating, he worked as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers, honing his skills and developing his own unique style.
In 2000, Jang released his first book of photographs, titled "Korea: A Photographic Journey". The book was an instant success and established Jang as one of the leading photographers in South Korea. Since then, he has released several more books featuring his work, including "Korean Landscapes" (2005), "Seoul Street Scenes" (2008), and "Korean Portraits" (2012).
Jang's work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo. He has also won numerous awards for his photography, including the Grand Prize at the International Photography Awards in 2008.
Today, Jang continues to capture stunning images of South Korea with his camera. His work is admired by many for its ability to capture both the beauty and complexity of Korean culture.
