Ivona Chrzastek is a Polish photographer and visual artist based in Warsaw. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 2011, where she studied photography and multimedia.
Chrzastek's work focuses on the exploration of identity, memory, and the human condition. Her photographs often feature dreamlike scenes that explore themes of nostalgia, longing, and displacement. She has exhibited her work in numerous galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the National Museum of Photography in Poznan, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow.
Chrzastek has also been featured in several publications such as Vogue Poland, Elle Poland, and Harper's Bazaar Poland. In addition to her photography work, she has also collaborated with fashion designers such as Maison Margiela and Balmain on campaigns for their collections.
In 2020 Chrzastek was awarded the prestigious Grand Prix at the International Festival of Photography in Lodz for her series "The Unseen". The series explores themes of identity through a dreamlike lens that captures moments of beauty amidst chaos.
