Ignasi Monreal is a Spanish photographer and digital artist based in Barcelona. He is best known for his surreal, dreamlike images that explore the boundaries between reality and fantasy.
Monreal was born in Barcelona in 1988 and grew up surrounded by art and creativity. His father was a painter, while his mother was a sculptor, so it's no surprise that he developed an interest in art from an early age. He began experimenting with photography at the age of 15, and soon realized that this was his true passion.
Monreal studied photography at the University of Barcelona, where he developed his unique style of combining photography with digital manipulation to create surreal images. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer and quickly gained recognition for his work. His photographs have been featured in numerous publications such as Vogue, Elle, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, and The New York Times Magazine.
In addition to his commercial work, Monreal has also created several personal projects exploring themes such as identity, dreams, and the human condition. His work has been exhibited in galleries around the world including London’s Saatchi Gallery and New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
Monreal continues to push the boundaries of photography with each new project he takes on. He is constantly exploring new techniques to create unique images that capture the imagination of viewers around the world.
