Hyea W. Kang is an award-winning photographer and visual artist based in New York City. She has been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Guardian. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

Kang was born in Seoul, South Korea and moved to the United States at the age of nine. She studied photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and graduated with a BFA in Photography & Imaging. After graduating, she worked as a freelance photographer for various publications before launching her own studio practice.

Kang's work focuses on themes of identity, memory, and displacement. She often uses her own experiences as an immigrant to explore these topics through her photographs. Her work has been recognized with awards from organizations such as the International Center of Photography and the Society for Photographic Education.

Kang is also an active member of the photography community, teaching workshops and giving lectures at universities around the world. In addition to her photographic practice, she also works as a curator for various exhibitions and events related to photography and art.
