Hwang Hyejeong is a South Korean photographer and visual artist. She was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1983 and graduated from the Seoul Institute of the Arts with a degree in photography.
Hwang's work focuses on the exploration of identity, memory, and the human condition. She often uses her own body as a medium to explore these themes, creating self-portraits that are both intimate and powerful. Her work has been exhibited in galleries around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul.
In addition to her photography, Hwang is also an accomplished filmmaker. Her short films have been featured at film festivals around the world, including Cannes Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival. She has also directed music videos for some of South Korea's most popular artists.
