Honer Akrawi is an Iraqi-born photographer and visual artist based in London. He is best known for his powerful and emotive images that explore the human condition, often focusing on themes of displacement, identity, and belonging.
Born in Baghdad in 1983, Akrawi was raised in a family of artists and photographers. His father was a renowned photographer who taught him the basics of photography from a young age. After graduating from high school, Akrawi moved to London to pursue his studies in photography at the University of Westminster.
Akrawi's work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Tate Modern in London, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. He has also been featured in numerous publications such as The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian, and Vogue Italia.
