Henry Leutwyler is a Swiss-born photographer and filmmaker based in New York City. He is best known for his iconic portraits of celebrities, musicians, and athletes, as well as his documentary work.

Leutwyler was born in Zurich, Switzerland in 1962. He studied photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and began his career as a freelance photographer for magazines such as GQ, Esquire, and The New Yorker. His work has also been featured in publications such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Rolling Stone.

Leutwyler's photographs have been exhibited around the world including at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. His work has also been featured in several books including Henry Leutwyler: Photographs (2005), Henry Leutwyler: Portraits (2008), and Henry Leutwyler: Music (2010).

In addition to his photography career, Leutwyler has directed several documentaries including The Last Days of Disco (2003) and The Last Days of Punk (2007). He has also directed music videos for artists such as David Bowie and Moby.

Leutwyler currently lives and works in New York City with his wife and two children.
