François Halard is a French photographer and interior designer who has been capturing the beauty of the world for over four decades. Born in Paris in 1952, Halard was raised in a family of artists and intellectuals, which inspired his passion for photography from an early age. He began his career as a fashion photographer in the 1970s, shooting for magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.

In the 1980s, Halard shifted his focus to interiors and architecture, traveling around the world to capture the beauty of homes and buildings. His work has been featured in publications such as Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, and The New York Times Magazine. He has also published several books on interior design and photography, including Interiors (1995), François Halard: Photographs (1999), and François Halard: Houses (2005).

Halard’s work is characterized by its attention to detail and its ability to capture the essence of a space or object. He often uses natural light to create a sense of atmosphere in his photographs. His work has been exhibited at galleries around the world, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris, The Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and The Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

In addition to his photography career, Halard is also an accomplished interior designer who has worked on projects for clients such as Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld. He currently lives between Paris and New York City with his wife and two children.
