Franco Amendola is an Italian photographer and filmmaker who has been capturing the beauty of the world for over 40 years. Born in Rome, Italy in 1954, Amendola developed a passion for photography at a young age. He began his career as a freelance photographer in the late 1970s, shooting for various magazines and newspapers.

In the 1980s, Amendola began to focus on documentary photography and filmmaking. He traveled extensively throughout Europe, Africa, and Asia to capture stories of people living in remote areas. His work has been featured in numerous publications including National Geographic Magazine, Time Magazine, and The New York Times.

Amendola's work has also been exhibited in galleries around the world including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. In addition to his photography work, he has directed several documentaries about social issues such as poverty and human rights abuses.

Throughout his career, Amendola has received numerous awards including a World Press Photo Award for his coverage of the civil war in Lebanon. He continues to travel around the world capturing stories that need to be told.
