Fer Pina is a Spanish photographer and visual artist based in Barcelona. He has been working in the field of photography for over 20 years, and his work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and publications around the world.
Pina was born in Barcelona in 1975, and he began his career as a photographer at an early age. He studied photography at the Escola de Fotografia de Barcelona, where he developed his skills as a portrait photographer. After graduating, he worked as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers, including El Pais and La Vanguardia.
In 2003, Pina began to focus on fine art photography, creating images that explore themes of identity, memory, and nostalgia. His work often features dreamlike scenes that evoke a sense of longing for something lost or forgotten. He has exhibited his work in galleries throughout Europe and the United States, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona and the International Center of Photography in New York City.
Pina's photographs have also been featured in numerous books and magazines such as National Geographic, Vogue Italia, The New Yorker, The Guardian, The Sunday Times Magazine, El Pais Semanal, Marie Claire Spain, GQ Spain, Stern Magazine Germany among others. In addition to his photographic work he also teaches workshops on photography at universities around Europe.
Pina's work is held in several public collections including the Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA) in Barcelona and the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City.
