Fabiola Zamora is a Mexican-American photographer and visual artist based in Los Angeles, California. She is best known for her vibrant and colorful photographs that capture the beauty of everyday life.
Fabiola was born in Mexico City, Mexico in 1988. She moved to the United States at the age of seven and grew up in Los Angeles. From a young age, she was drawn to photography as a way to express her creativity and explore her identity as a Mexican-American woman.
In 2010, Fabiola graduated from California State University with a degree in photography. After graduation, she began working as a freelance photographer for various publications and brands. Her work has been featured in publications such as Vogue Mexico, Refinery29, and The New York Times Magazine.
In addition to her commercial work, Fabiola has also developed an impressive body of personal work that focuses on themes of identity, culture, and family. Her photographs often feature bright colors and bold compositions that capture the vibrancy of everyday life. In 2017, she released her first book titled “The Colorful Life” which showcases her personal work from the past decade.
Fabiola’s work has been exhibited around the world including at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach, California; The Bronx Museum of Art in New York City; and The National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago. She has also been awarded numerous grants including the National Geographic Explorer Grant (2018) and the Getty Images Grant (2019).
Today Fabiola continues to create vibrant photographs that capture moments of beauty from everyday life while exploring themes of identity and culture through her artistry.
