Eugene Shishkin is a Russian-born photographer who has been capturing stunning images of the world around him for over two decades. Born in Moscow in 1975, Eugene developed an early interest in photography and began taking pictures at the age of 12. After graduating from high school, he attended the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts, where he studied photography and cinematography.
In 1998, Eugene moved to the United States and began working as a freelance photographer. He quickly gained recognition for his unique style of photography, which often features vibrant colors and bold compositions. His work has been featured in numerous publications including National Geographic, The New York Times Magazine, and Time Magazine. He has also exhibited his work in galleries around the world including New York City, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Tokyo, and Moscow.
Eugene’s photographs have been used to illustrate books on topics ranging from travel to fashion to nature. He has also collaborated with several major brands such as Apple, Nike, and Microsoft on advertising campaigns. In addition to his commercial work, Eugene is passionate about documenting everyday life in cities around the world through his street photography series.
Eugene’s photographs have earned him numerous awards including a Lucie Award for Outstanding Achievement in Fine Art Photography (2015) and a Hasselblad Masters Award (2016). He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children where he continues to capture stunning images of the world around him.
