Ester Grass Vergara is a Chilean photographer and visual artist based in Santiago, Chile. She is best known for her work exploring the relationship between people and their environment, often through the lens of social and political issues.
Born in Santiago in 1982, Ester began her career as a photographer in 2004. She studied photography at the University of Chile, where she graduated with a degree in Visual Arts. After graduating, she worked as an assistant to renowned Chilean photographer Paz Errázuriz before launching her own career as a freelance photographer.
Ester's work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, and the International Center of Photography in New York City. Her photographs have also been published in magazines such as National Geographic and The New Yorker.
In addition to her photography work, Ester has also written several books on photography and visual arts. Her most recent book is titled "The Art of Seeing: A Guide to Photographic Composition". In it, she explores how to create compelling images by understanding light, composition, and color theory.
