Emmanuel Giraud is a French photographer and visual artist based in Paris. He is best known for his work in fashion, portraiture, and documentary photography.

Giraud was born in Paris in 1983. He studied photography at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles, France, where he graduated with honors in 2006. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and publications.

In 2008, Giraud was awarded the Prix de la Photographie by the French Ministry of Culture for his series “The City of Light” which documented the streets of Paris at night. This series was exhibited at the Centre Pompidou in Paris and has since been featured in numerous publications around the world.

Giraud has since gone on to work with some of the world’s leading fashion brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Chanel. His work has been featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, GQ, and many other international publications. He has also collaborated with renowned artists such as Yves Saint Laurent and Jean-Paul Gaultier on various projects.

In addition to his commercial work, Giraud continues to pursue personal projects that explore themes such as identity and memory. His most recent project “The Memory of Time” was exhibited at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris in 2019.

Giraud’s work has been recognized with numerous awards including the Prix du Livre Photo from the Rencontres d'Arles festival (2009) and a nomination for Best Photographer at the International Photography Awards (2010).
