Duy Quoc Vo is a Vietnamese-born photographer and visual artist based in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his vibrant and surreal images that explore the complexities of identity, culture, and memory.

Born in Vietnam in 1975, Vo was raised in a small village near Saigon. As a child, he was fascinated by the power of photography to capture moments and tell stories. After graduating from high school, he moved to the United States to pursue his passion for photography.

In the United States, Vo attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography. After graduating from Art Center College of Design, Vo began working as a freelance photographer for magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. His work has also been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world including at the Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles (MOCA), The Getty Museum, The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), and The Smithsonian Institution’s National Portrait Gallery.

Vo’s work often explores themes related to identity and memory through vivid colors and surreal imagery. His photographs are often described as dreamlike or ethereal with an emphasis on capturing moments that are both beautiful and fleeting. In addition to his photography work, Vo also creates video art installations which have been exhibited at various galleries around the world including The Hammer Museum in Los Angeles and The Guggenheim Museum in New York City.

Vo currently lives and works in Los Angeles where he continues to explore themes related to identity through his photography and video art installations.
