Don Brodie is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. He has been shooting professionally for over 20 years, and his work has been featured in publications such as National Geographic, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
Don was born in San Francisco, California and grew up in the Bay Area. He developed an interest in photography at a young age, and began taking pictures of his friends and family with a 35mm camera he received as a gift from his parents. After graduating high school, Don attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco where he earned a degree in photography.
After college, Don moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a professional photographer. He quickly established himself as one of the top photographers in the city, shooting for clients such as Nike, Adidas, Sony Music Entertainment, and Universal Pictures. His work has been featured on billboards around the world and he has won numerous awards for his photography including the International Photography Awards (IPA) Photographer of the Year Award (2015).
In addition to his commercial work, Don also produces documentary films about social issues such as poverty and homelessness. His films have been screened at film festivals around the world including Cannes Film Festival (2016) and Sundance Film Festival (2017).
Don is passionate about giving back to his community through his art. He regularly volunteers with local charities such as LA Works and The Midnight Mission to help those less fortunate than himself.
