Dominic Haydn Rawle is a British photographer and filmmaker based in London. He is best known for his work in fashion, music, and documentary photography.
Rawle was born in London in 1984 and grew up in the city's East End. He developed an interest in photography at an early age, taking pictures of his friends and family with a cheap camera he bought from a local market. After graduating from high school, he studied photography at the University of Westminster, where he developed his skills as a portrait photographer.
After university, Rawle began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers. His work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, GQ, The Guardian, The Independent, and Dazed & Confused. He has also worked with numerous fashion labels including Burberry, Topshop, and ASOS.
In addition to his commercial work, Rawle has also produced several documentary films about social issues such as homelessness and poverty. His film "The Forgotten" won the Best Documentary award at the Raindance Film Festival in 2011.
Rawle's work has been exhibited around the world including at the National Portrait Gallery in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. He continues to produce both commercial and documentary projects that explore themes of identity and belonging.
