Diego Lafuente is a Spanish photographer and visual artist based in Madrid. He has been working in the field of photography since the early 2000s, and his work has been featured in numerous publications, exhibitions, and festivals around the world.

Born in Madrid in 1979, Diego began his career as a photographer while studying at the University of Madrid. After graduating with a degree in Fine Arts, he began to focus on photography as his primary medium of expression. His work is characterized by its strong sense of composition and its ability to capture moments of beauty and emotion.

Diego's photographs have been featured in publications such as National Geographic, The New York Times Magazine, Vogue Italia, and many others. He has also exhibited his work at galleries and museums around the world including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, Spain; The Photographers' Gallery in London; The Museum of Modern Art in New York City; and The International Center for Photography in Tokyo.

In addition to his photographic work, Diego is also an accomplished filmmaker. He has directed several short films that have been screened at film festivals around the world including Cannes Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival. His films explore themes such as identity, memory, and belonging.

Diego's work has earned him numerous awards including the International Photography Award from Sony World Photography Awards (2015) and Best Documentary Short from Sundance Film Festival (2016). He continues to push boundaries with his photography by exploring new techniques and ideas that challenge traditional notions of what photography can be.
