David Yarrow is a Scottish photographer and conservationist who has gained international recognition for his captivating images of wildlife and remote cultures. Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1966, Yarrow developed an early passion for photography and the outdoors. He began his career as a photojournalist, traveling to some of the most remote places on earth to capture stunning images of wildlife and people.
Yarrow's work has been featured in publications such as National Geographic, The Sunday Times Magazine, GQ, Vanity Fair, and Vogue. His photographs have also been exhibited in galleries around the world including London's National Portrait Gallery and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C. In addition to his photography career, Yarrow is an active conservationist who works with organizations such as WildAid to raise awareness about endangered species and habitats.
Yarrow has won numerous awards for his work including the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year award from the Natural History Museum in London. He is also a Fellow of The Royal Geographical Society and a Fellow of The Explorers Club. In 2018 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Glasgow Caledonian University for his contribution to photography and conservation.
In 2020 Yarrow released his first book titled "Wild Encounters" which features some of his most iconic images from around the world. He continues to travel extensively while capturing stunning images that bring attention to some of the world's most vulnerable species and cultures.
