Danielle Levitt is an American photographer and director based in New York City. She is best known for her fashion and portrait photography, which has been featured in publications such as Vogue, W Magazine, and The New York Times Magazine.
Levitt was born in Los Angeles, California in 1975. She attended the University of California, Santa Cruz where she studied photography and film. After graduating in 1997, she moved to New York City to pursue a career in photography.
Levitt's work has been featured in numerous publications including Vogue, W Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, and Vanity Fair. She has also shot campaigns for brands such as Nike, Levi's, and Gap. In addition to her commercial work, Levitt has also created several personal projects including a series of portraits of young women living in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
In addition to her photography work, Levitt has also directed music videos for artists such as The Kills and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. She has also directed short films for brands such as Nike and Levi's.
Levitt currently lives and works in Brooklyn with her husband and two children.
