Daniel Nadel is an acclaimed photographer and visual artist based in New York City. He is best known for his vibrant and colorful photographs of urban landscapes, which often feature bold colors and abstract shapes.
Nadel was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1975. He began taking photographs at a young age, and by the time he was a teenager he had already developed a passion for photography. After graduating from high school, he attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan where he studied photography and film.
In 2000, Nadel began exhibiting his work in galleries around the world. His work has been featured in numerous solo exhibitions as well as group shows at institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), and the Tate Modern in London. His photographs have also been featured in publications such as The New Yorker, The Guardian, and Vogue Magazine.
Nadel's work has been widely praised for its unique vision and creative use of color. He has won numerous awards for his photography including the International Center of Photography Infinity Award for Applied/Fashion/Advertising Photography (2006) and the Lucie Award for Fine Art Photographer of the Year (2008). In addition to his photographic work, Nadel is also an accomplished filmmaker who has directed several short films that have screened at festivals around the world.
