Damien Blottiere is a French photographer and visual artist based in Paris. He is best known for his unique and captivating images that explore the relationship between people and their environment.
Blottiere began his career as a photographer in the early 2000s, working with fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire. His work has since been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian, and The Wall Street Journal. He has also exhibited his work in galleries around the world, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
In addition to his commercial work, Blottiere has also created several personal projects that explore themes of identity and belonging. His series “The Other Side” examines how people interact with their surroundings through a combination of portraiture and landscape photography. His project “The Invisible” looks at how people are affected by their environment without being aware of it.
Blottiere’s work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3) Gold Award for Fine Art Photography (2014), the International Photography Awards (IPA) Honorable Mention for Fine Art Portrait (2015), and the Sony World Photography Awards Professional Shortlist for Fine Art Landscape (2016). He was also named one of PDN’s 30 Emerging Photographers to Watch in 2017.
