Cristina López is a Mexican photographer and visual artist based in Mexico City. She is known for her vibrant and colorful images that capture the beauty of everyday life.
López was born in Mexico City in 1985 and grew up surrounded by art and culture. She developed an early interest in photography, which she pursued throughout her studies at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. After graduating with a degree in Visual Arts, she began to focus on photography as her primary medium.
López’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City, the International Center of Photography in New York, and the Photographers’ Gallery in London. Her photographs have also been published in magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle.
In addition to her photographic work, López has also created video installations and multimedia projects that explore themes such as identity, memory, and place. Her work has been recognized with several awards including the National Photography Award from Mexico’s Ministry of Culture (2013) and the International Photography Award from Spain (2015).
López continues to live and work in Mexico City where she is currently working on a new series of photographs exploring urban life.
