Christoph Pirnbacher is an Austrian photographer and visual artist based in Vienna. He is known for his unique approach to photography, combining traditional techniques with modern digital technology.

Born in Vienna in 1975, Christoph developed an interest in photography at a young age. He studied photography at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and graduated with a degree in Visual Communication. After graduation, he worked as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers, as well as for advertising campaigns.

In 2006, Christoph began to focus on his own personal projects, exploring themes such as identity, memory and the human condition. His work has been exhibited internationally in galleries and museums including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. His photographs have also been featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian and National Geographic.

Christoph's work has won numerous awards including the Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3) Gold Award for Fine Art Photography (2009), the International Photography Awards (IPA) Honorable Mention (2010) and the Sony World Photography Awards Professional Shortlist (2011). In addition to his photographic work, Christoph also teaches workshops on digital photography at universities around Europe.

Christoph's photographs are characterized by their strong sense of composition and use of light to create atmosphere. His images often explore themes of identity, memory and emotion while capturing moments of beauty within everyday life.
