Christine Centenera is an Australian fashion stylist, editor, and photographer. She is best known for her work in the fashion industry, having worked with some of the world’s most renowned designers and publications.
Centenera was born in Sydney, Australia in 1979. She attended the University of Technology Sydney where she studied fashion design and marketing. After graduating, she began her career as a stylist for Australian magazines such as Oyster and Russh. In 2006, she moved to New York City to pursue a career in styling for international publications such as Vogue Australia, Vogue Japan, Harper’s Bazaar Australia, and W Magazine.
In 2009, Centenera began working as a creative director for Harper’s Bazaar Australia. During this time she also started to take on photography projects for various magazines and brands including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci, Prada and more. Her work has been featured in numerous publications including Vogue US, Vogue UK, Elle US and Elle UK.
In 2014 Centenera was appointed the Fashion Director of Vogue Australia where she has since been responsible for creating some of the magazine’s most iconic covers and editorials. She has also collaborated with some of the world’s top photographers such as Mario Testino and Patrick Demarchelier on various projects.
Centenera is currently based in Sydney where she continues to work as a stylist and photographer while also running her own creative agency called The Centenera Collective which focuses on styling services for editorial shoots and campaigns.
