Christian Bang is a Danish photographer and visual artist based in Copenhagen. He is known for his unique and creative approach to photography, often combining elements of fashion, art, and documentary photography.
Bang began his career as a freelance photographer in the early 2000s, shooting for various magazines and publications. His work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, GQ, Elle, and The New York Times Magazine. He has also worked with numerous fashion brands including Nike, Adidas, and Levi's.
In addition to his commercial work, Bang has also created several personal projects that explore themes of identity and belonging. His series "The Outsiders" (2009) focused on the lives of immigrants living in Denmark while "The Dreamers" (2012) explored the dreams of young people living in Copenhagen.
Bang's work has been exhibited internationally at galleries such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and the Photographers' Gallery in London. In 2017 he was awarded the Danish Arts Foundation's three-year working grant for visual artists.
Bang continues to push boundaries with his photography by exploring new ways to tell stories through images. He is currently working on a new project that focuses on the relationship between humans and nature.
