Chiang Ming Shih is a Taiwanese photographer and visual artist. Born in Taipei in 1965, Chiang has been creating art since the age of 15. He studied photography at the National Taiwan University of Arts and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts.

Chiang's work is characterized by its unique blend of traditional Chinese aesthetics and modern photographic techniques. His photographs often feature landscapes, cityscapes, and portraits that capture the beauty of everyday life in Taiwan. He has also explored themes such as identity, memory, and nostalgia through his work.

Chiang has exhibited his work internationally, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Taipei, the International Center for Photography in New York City, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography. His photographs have been featured in numerous publications such as The New York Times Magazine, Time Magazine, and National Geographic.

In addition to his photography career, Chiang is also an accomplished filmmaker. He has directed several short films that have been screened at film festivals around the world. He is also a professor at National Taiwan University of Arts where he teaches courses on photography and filmmaking.

Chiang's work has earned him numerous awards including the Golden Horse Award for Best Cinematography (2005) and the Golden Horse Award for Best Short Film (2007). He continues to create art that captures the beauty of everyday life in Taiwan while exploring themes such as identity, memory, and nostalgia through his work.
