Cecilie Lindegaard is a Danish photographer and visual artist based in Copenhagen. She is known for her unique and captivating images that explore the relationship between people and their environment.

Lindegaard began her career as a photographer in 2009, when she was just 19 years old. She has since gone on to become one of Denmark's most celebrated photographers, with her work being featured in numerous exhibitions and publications around the world. Her photographs have been exhibited at galleries such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

Lindegaard's work often focuses on themes of identity, belonging, and displacement. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America to capture her images. Her photographs are characterized by their vivid colors and dreamlike quality that evoke a sense of nostalgia for places both familiar and unknown.

In addition to her photography work, Lindegaard is also an accomplished filmmaker. Her short films have been screened at festivals such as Cannes Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival. In 2017 she released her first feature-length documentary film titled "The Dreamers" which follows a group of young people living on the streets of Copenhagen as they search for meaning in their lives.

Lindegaard's work has been recognized with numerous awards including the Hasselblad Masters Award (2015) and the International Photography Award (2016). She continues to push boundaries with her photography while exploring new ways to tell stories through visual media.
