Carlos Jaramillo is a Colombian photographer and visual artist based in Bogotá. He is known for his vibrant and colorful images that capture the beauty of everyday life in Colombia.

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Carlos developed an interest in photography at a young age. He began taking pictures of his family and friends, and soon realized that he had a passion for capturing moments. After graduating from high school, Carlos decided to pursue photography as a career and enrolled in the National University of Colombia to study photography and visual arts.

During his studies, Carlos developed an interest in documentary photography and began to explore the streets of Bogotá to capture its unique culture and people. His work has been featured in several exhibitions around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. In addition to his documentary work, Carlos also works as a commercial photographer for various brands and companies.

Carlos’s work has been praised for its vivid colors and unique perspective on Colombian life. His photographs have been featured in publications such as The New York Times, National Geographic, Vogue Magazine, El País, among others. In 2020 he was awarded the prestigious Hasselblad Masters Award for his outstanding contribution to photography.
