Camille Bidault-Waddington is a French photographer and visual artist based in Paris. She is known for her unique and captivating images that explore the relationship between people and their environment.

Born in Paris in 1983, Camille began her career as a photographer at the age of 18, when she was accepted into the prestigious École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles. After graduating, she worked as an assistant to renowned photographers such as Jean-Baptiste Mondino and Jean-François Rauzier.

In 2008, Camille began to focus on her own work, creating photographs that explore the relationship between people and their environment. Her work has been exhibited in galleries around the world, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. She has also been featured in publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and The New York Times Magazine.

In addition to her photography work, Camille is also an accomplished filmmaker. Her films have been screened at festivals around the world including Cannes Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival. She has also directed music videos for artists such as M83 and Phoenix.

Camille’s work has earned her numerous awards including a Prix Pictet nomination for her series “The Human Condition” (2012) and a World Press Photo Award for her series “The Invisible War” (2013). In 2017 she was awarded France’s highest honor for photography – Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres – by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Camille continues to create captivating images that explore our relationship with our environment while pushing boundaries with new techniques and technologies.
