Caia Ramalho is a Brazilian photographer and visual artist based in São Paulo. She has been working in the field of photography since 2009, when she graduated from the University of São Paulo with a degree in Visual Arts.

Ramalho's work focuses on the exploration of identity and memory, often through the use of portraiture and documentary photography. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro, the International Center for Photography in New York City, and the Photographers' Gallery in London.

In addition to her photographic practice, Ramalho is also an active member of several organizations dedicated to promoting photography and visual arts. She is a founding member of Fotoativa, an organization that works to promote photography as an art form and to support emerging photographers. She is also a board member of FotoRio, an organization that works to promote photography education and professional development for photographers in Brazil.

Ramalho's work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the International Photography Award (IPA) for Best Documentary Series (2015), the Latin American Fotografia Award (LAF) for Best Portrait Series (2016), and the Prix Pictet Commission Award (2017). Her work has also been featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian, Vogue Italia, and National Geographic Magazine.
