Bon Duke is an American photographer and visual artist based in New York City. He is best known for his vibrant, colorful images that explore themes of identity, sexuality, and gender.

Born in 1981 in Los Angeles, California, Duke grew up surrounded by art and creativity. His father was a painter and his mother was a fashion designer. From an early age, Duke was exposed to the world of art and photography. He began taking pictures at the age of 12 with a Kodak Instamatic camera given to him by his father.

Duke attended the University of Southern California where he studied photography and film. After graduating in 2003, he moved to New York City to pursue a career as a professional photographer. He quickly established himself as one of the most sought-after photographers in the city, shooting for magazines such as Vogue, GQ, and W Magazine.

In addition to his commercial work, Duke has also created several personal projects that explore themes of identity and sexuality. His work has been exhibited at galleries around the world including The Museum of Modern Art in New York City and The Victoria & Albert Museum in London. In 2017 he published his first book titled “Bon Duke: A Visual Exploration” which featured some of his most iconic images from over the years.

Duke continues to push boundaries with his photography while exploring new ways to express himself through visual art. His work has been praised for its boldness and beauty, making him one of the most influential photographers working today.
