Bernard Gueit is a French photographer and filmmaker who has been capturing the beauty of the world for over 30 years. He has traveled to some of the most remote places on earth, from the deserts of Africa to the jungles of South America, and his work has been featured in numerous publications, including National Geographic and The New York Times.
Gueit was born in Paris in 1965 and grew up surrounded by art and culture. His father was an artist, and his mother was a fashion designer. From an early age, Gueit developed a passion for photography, which he pursued throughout his teenage years. After graduating from high school, he attended the prestigious École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
In 1989, Gueit began his professional career as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers. He quickly gained recognition for his unique style of photography that focused on capturing the beauty of nature and its inhabitants. His work has taken him to some of the most remote places on earth, including India, Nepal, Ethiopia, Madagascar, and many other countries around the world.
Throughout his career, Gueit has won numerous awards for his work including two World Press Photo Awards in 1998 and 2000. In addition to photography, Gueit is also an accomplished filmmaker who has directed several documentaries about nature conservation efforts around the world. His films have been screened at festivals around the world including Cannes Film Festival in France and Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.
Today Gueit continues to travel around the world capturing stunning images that tell stories about our planet’s beauty and fragility. He is also an advocate for environmental protection and works with various organizations to help protect endangered species around the globe.
